Biography

Daniel Lozakovich was born in Stockholm in 2001, and began playing the violin in 2007, making his concerto debut with the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and Vladimir Spivakov two years later. Daniel has already performed as a soloist throughout Europe with orchestras including the the Orchestre national de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Tchaikovsky Symphony, Moscow Philharmonic, National Philharmonic of Russia, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, and the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra. Recently, Daniel made his debuts with Leonard Slatkin and the Orchestre National de Lyon, Vasily Petrenko and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse and Lorenzo Viotti, the Swedish Radio Symphony with Robin Ticciati, the Danish National Chamber Orchestra and Adam Fischer. Daniel has a close collaboration with Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, since they played together during the New Year’s concert 2015 at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow. He returned to the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra to perform the Beethoven violin concerto at the closing anniversary concert of the 15th Moscow Easter Festival, and later at the Stars of the White Nights Festival in St. Petersburg, also the Baltic Sea Festival in Stockholm’s Berwaldhallen and at the Rotterdam Gergiev Festival with Prokofiev concerto. Daniel opened the Münchner Philharmoniker festival, MPHIL 360°, alongside Maestro Valery Gergiev and Munich Philharmonic Orchestra with Mozart violin concerto. He also performed the Bach Concerto for Two Violins with Shlomo Mintz and the Cameristi della Scala and Daniel Cohen at the Crans-Montana Classics 2016 New Year’s Concert. Daniel has a love of chamber music and has enjoyed collaborations with, among others, Ivry Gitlis, Daniel Hope, Martin Fröst, and Maxim Vengerov. In September 2015, Daniel recorded a selection of Bartók’s Violin Duos with Daniel Hope for Deutsche Grammophon, having previously performed together on ARTE’s Concert television program. Daniel is a regular performer at the Verbier Festival and many other international music festivals, the Progetto Martha Argerich in Lugano, Corinthian Summer Music Festival in Austria, the Colmar Festival, Moscow Meets Friends, the International Mstislav Rostropovich Festival in Baku, and the Sommets musicaux de Gstaad, where he returned in February 2016 to perform both the Bach Concerto in A minor BWV 1041 and Concerto for Two Violins BWV 1043 with Renaud Capuçon and the Festival Strings Lucerne. He also made his chamber music debut at the Aix en Provence Festival de Pâques in 2016 with Renaud Capuçon, and Khatia Buniatishvili. Highlights for the 17/18 season include: tours in Japan with Valery Gergiev at the Pacific Music Festival (PMF); Japan tour with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra conductor Andreas Orozko-Estrada; a return to the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic with Semyon Bychkov and the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse and Tugan Sokhiev; Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France with Krzysztof Urbanski; Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra with Lahav Shani. Daniel will have his debut concerts with the Boston Symphony Orchestra with Andris Nelsons at Tanglewood; Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra; Liege Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with Christian Arming; Orchester der Komischen Oper Berlin; Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai Torino; Gothenburg Symphony; Orchestra of Staatstheater Karlsruhe and Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra with Nikolaj Znaider. Furthermore, he will perform recitals at the Aix en Provence Festival; Salle Molière de Lyon; Les Grandes Voix – Les Grands Solistes; Tonhalle Zürich and return to the Verbier Festival. At the Festival of the Nations Daniel has been awarded the prize of “The Young Artist of the Year 2017” and will perform with Munich Radio Orchestra and Mischa Damev. Daniel has been awarded numerous international prizes including the 1st prize at the 2016 Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition; both the 1st Prize and the “Grand Prix” at the 2012 EMCY international music competition, “Ohrid PEARLS”, Macedonia; 1st Prize and the “Gulda Nutcracker” at the 12th Nutcracker International Television Contest for Young Musicians in Moscow, 2011; 2nd Prize at the “Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists”, Austin, USA, 2014, and the 2015 Manfred Grommek Prize from Kronberg Academy. Daniel won three prestigious awards: the “Viennese Classics”, “String Soloists”, and “Best Interpretation of Sarasate ‘Gypsy Airs’” at the 2014 International Summer Academy of the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, Excelentia Prizes under the Honour Presidence of Queen Sofia of Spain. In June 2016, Daniel Lozakovich signed an exclusive recording deal with Deutsche Grammophon and will begin his long-term cooperation with the label by recording two orchestral albums and a recital disc. Since 2012, Daniel studies at the Karlsruhe University of Music with Professor Josef Rissin, and he is mentored by Eduard Wulfson. Currently, he is a student at the Collège du Léman in Geneva. In his limited spare time, Daniel enjoys playing football, boxing, tennis and chess.

Einer Wiedereinladung folgend, spielte er das Beethoven Violinkonzert mit dem Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra im Abschlusskonzert des 15. Moscow Easter Festival sowie beim Stars of the White Night Festival in St. Petersburg. Des Weiteren spielte er das Doppelkonzert von Bach mit Shlomo Mintz und der Cameristi della Scala unter der Leitung von Daniel Cohen bei dem Neujahrskonzert der Crans-Montana Classics 2016. Daniel Lozakovich ist leidenschaftlicher Kammermusiker und musizierte unter anderem mit Ivry Gitlis, Daniel Hope, Martin Fröst und Maxim Vengerov. Zusammen mit Daniel Hope nahm er eine Auswahl von Bartok’s Violinduetten bei der Deutschen Grammophon im September 2015 auf, die sie zudem bei dem TV Programm ARTE’s Concert aufführten. Er ist regelmäßig beim Verbier Festival zu Gast. Daneben trat er bei zahlreichen Festivals auf, darunter sind das Progetto Martha Argerich in Lugano, Corinthian Summer Music Festival in Österreich, Colmar Festival, Moscow Meets Friends, International Mstislav Rostropovich Festival i Baku und das Menuhin Festival Gstaad zu nennen. In 2016 folgte eine Wiedereinladung zum Menuhin Festival Gstaad, um das Konzert a-Moll BWV 1041 und das Doppelkonzert BWV 1043 von J.S. Bach gemeinsam mit Renaud Capuçon und den Festival Strings Lucerne aufzuführen. Außerdem debütierte er beim Aix en Provence Festival de Pâques mit Renaud Capuçon, Khatia Buniatishvili und vielen weiteren Künstlern. Daniel Lozakovich begann seine 2016/2017 Saison mit Auftritten mit dem Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra unter der Leitung von Valery Gergiev bei dem Baltic Sea Festival in Stockholm und beim Rotterdam Philharmonic Gergiev Festival. Fortführend wird er sein Debüt mit den Münchner Philharmonikern unter Valery Gergiev und mit dem Boston Symphony Orchestra unter Andris Nelsons in Tanglewood geben. Er wird der Wiedereinladung zum Royal Stockholm Philharmonic mit Semyon Bychkov folgen und Konzerte mit dem Orchestre de la Suisse Romande mit Hartmut Haenchen, L’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, dem Lausanne Kammerorchester, dem Swedish Radio- und Kammerorchester, dem Orchester der Komischen Oper Berlin, mit dem Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai Torino und mit dem Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, dem Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, dem Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra und mit dem Tonhalle Orchester Zürich spielen. Außerdem wird er in Rezitalen beim Aix en Provence Festival, Salle Molière de Lyon, Menuhin Festival Gstaad, erneut beim Verbier Festival zu hören sein. Auch zahlreiche erste Preise bei internationalen Wettbewerben konnte Daniel Lozakovich bereits erlangen, darunter 2016 beim Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Wettbewerb,Der Usedom-Musikpreis 2016, 2012 beim EMCY International Music Competition, beim “OHRID PEARLS” – International Competition of Young Musicians und beim 12. Nutcracker International Television Contest for Young Musicians in Moskau 2011. Weitere Auszeichnungen sind der 2. Preis beim Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists in 2014 in Austin, der »Manfred Grommek Förderpreis« für junge Streicher der Kronberg Academy, der »Viennese Classics«, »String Soloists« und der »Best Interpretation of Sarasate ‚Gypsy Airs‘« der Internationalen Sommerakademie der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien in 2014. Im Juni 2016 unterzeichnete Daniel einen Exklusiv-Vertrag mit dem Label Deutsche Grammophon. Eine langfristige Zusammenarbeit ist geplant. In naher Zukunft warden zwei Alben mit Violinkonzerten und eine CD-Einspielung mit einem Rezitalprogramm aufgenommen. Seit 2012 studiert Daniel Lozakovich bei Professor Josef Rissin an der Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe und wird von Eduard Wulfson künstlerisch betreut. Außerdem besucht er das Collège du Léman in Genf. Seine Freizeit verbringt er mit Fußball, Tennis und Schach spielen.

Даниэль Лозакович родился в 2001 году в Стокгольме. Впервые увидев скрипку, когда ему было 6,5 лет, Даниэль сразу решил, что будет скрипачом. Уже через два года после начала занятий дебютировал как солист с камерным оркестром «Виртуозы Москвы» под управлением Владимира Спивакова.В 2012 году поступает в музыкальный университет в Карлсруэ, где учится у профессора Иосифа Рысина. С сентября 2015 года его наставником является профессор Эдуард Вульфсон. В настоящее время получает академическое образование в колледже du Leman в Женеве. Несмотря на свой юный возраст музыкант выступает в престижных концертных залах мира и участвует в крупнейших международных фестивалях, таких как Вербье, Мartha Argerich Project, Экс-ан-Прованс, Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, Гран Монтана (Швейцария), фестиваль Мстислава Ростроповича в Баку, Carinthian летний музыкальный фестиваль в Австрии, музыкальный фестиваль в г. Кольмаре, Московский Пасхальный фестиваль, «Звезды белых ночей» в Санкт-Петербурге, фестиваль Балтийского моря в Стокгольме, MPHIL 360 ° в Мюнхене и на Роттердаммском фестивале Валерия Гергиева. Чайковского, симфоническим оркестром Московской государственной филармонии, oркестром романской Швейцарии, Национальным симфоническим оркестром RAI (Турин)и многими другими. Знаменательные события сезона 17/18 включают гастроли по Японии с Валерием Гергиевым на Тихоокеанском музыкальном фестивале (PMF), дебютные концерты с Бостонским симфоническим оркестром и Андрисом Нельсоном в Тэнглвуде, Королевским филармоническим оркестром Льежа и Кристианом Армингом, симфоническим оркестром Франкфуртского радио с Николаем Цнайдером, Мюнхенским радио-оркестром с Мишей Дамев, Венским симфоническим оркестром с Якубом Груша, Токийским столичным симфоническим оркестром, оркестром Берлинской оперы, Гетеборгским симфоническим оркестром, оркестром Камерата Зальцбург. Также организуются выступления с Королевской Стокгольмской филармонией с Семеном Бычковым, Национальным оркестром Капитолия Тулузы и Тугана Сохиева, оркестром филармонии Радио Франции с Кшиштофом Урбански, камерным оркестром Вербье фестиваля с Лахавом Шани и турне по Японии с Симфоническим оркестром Франкфуртского радио с главным дирижером оркестра Андрешом Орозко-Эстрада. Даниэль обладатель I премии и специальной премии за лучшее исполнение концерта с оркестром на Международном конкурсе скрипачей Владимира Спивакова, обладатель «Золотого Щелкунчика» на XII Международном телевизионном конкурсе юных музыкантов «Щелкунчик» в Москве (2011г.), Гран-при во всех категориях на Международном конкурсе «Охрид жемчуг» в Македонии (2012г.), обладатель II премии Международного конкурса юных скрипачей им. Иегуди Менухина в Остине (США). В международной летней академии университета музыки и исполнительских искусств Вены стал победителем сразу трех конкурсов, получил призы в номинациях: «Лучшая интерпретация венских классиков», String Soloists Award и «лучшая интерпретация «Цыганских напевов» Сарасате. В музыкальной академии в Кронберге удостоен премии Manfred Grommek Prize 2015. Удостоен премии музыкального фестиваля «Usedom Music Award 2016» и «Молодой артист года 2017» на Фестивале Наций в Германии и премии Excelentia, учрежденной её Величеством Королевой Испании Софией в номинации «Артист года 2017». В июне 2016 года музыкант подписывает эксклюзивное соглашение с Deutsche Grammophon и начинает свое долговременное сотрудничество с лейблом, выпустив в скором времени два альбома с оркестровым аккомпанементом и один сольный альбом. В свободное время Даниэль увлекается футболом, боксом, теннисом и шахматами.
